Mission:
Raptor Report strives to inform, empower, and make space for the students of Gallatin High School through creative and intentional independent journalism.
Editorial Process:
Raptor Report is written and produced by student journalists with oversight from a GHS faculty advisor. We work hard to create an accurate and balanced publication that encompasses the wide variety of viewpoints in the community. The views expressed are those of students and those they interviewed, and are separate from the views of Bozeman School District 7. The GHS principal reviews Raptor Report before publication, but has limited power over content because of the newspaper’s distribution outside of GHS through the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. Through Raptor Report’s mission statement, the paper’s staff is dedicated to maintaining the independence that Raptor Report has always maintained.

Maia Maganito
Maia Maganito is Raptor Report’s digital editor and is part of Gallatin High School’s class of 2028. She is a proud competitive swimmer and music student. When she’s not playing the piano, violin, and singing, you can find her reading psychology and self-help books. Otherwise, she’s pinned to her desk studying for her rigorous AP courses, or the couch, binge-watching the latest from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, or Harry Potter.
She’s also an avid world traveler who loves to grab boba with her family, take her corgi on scenic walks, go thrift shopping, or watch Broadway and live theater.
Raptor Report caught her eye in her freshman year at Gallatin when she wanted to share her unique thoughts and experiences with the student body.
Since then, she’s been able to write to her heart’s content, ranging from topics like pop culture all the way to sports events or even neuroscience. She’s been able to network with professors, attend college lectures, and meet students from all over the state.
